Just an FYI, usually it's the sedan owners that add Z springs for a one inch drop. I don't think I have ever heard of a coupe owner adding Z springs to their car. Adding Z springs to a coupe doesn't make much sense.

Seems like most coupe owner use Tein or some other after market brand.

Does it have to be Z springs, can we not use coupe springs for the same drop?

Yes you can put G coupe springs on a sedan but the drop is not as much. You will get about 1/2 inch vs. 1 inch or so with Z springs. Some guys go coupe springs in rear and z in front. I like the one inch drop all away around with the Z springs. Personal preference I guess.

how is the ride quality?... Most posts I've seen are unrevised springs with sport struts/shocks or revised shocks... does the ride quality suffer going revised shocks AND springs?

A 1/2 inch drop in the front of my 03 sedan would be great. Is there a specific year or will any front G coupe spring work? I have had the rear springs out and that was fairly straight forward. Is replacing the front springs just as easy?

If you have the sports suspension, the front springs for a z or coupe have the same rate as your stockers (all years included). It is the coupe/z rear springs that have increased rates for later years.

No, the fronts are not as easy as the rears (but they still aren't that hard). The fronts are coilovers so you will need to rent a spring compressor if you DIY.

as far as the Z goes, springs rates are the same for all models of equivalent year.

So if I were to put an 03 Coupe suspension (complete springs & shocks) onto an 03 Non-Sport Sedan, would the resulting drop be 0.75" front and 0.75" rear?
