ArizonaZCar Wilwood 4-Pot Front BBK Installed
#48
According to Discount Tire, 38-45 mm offsets will fit within my fenders. 5Zigen says that with the Wilwood BBK the 35s will also fit. This is because the rotor hats are so much thinner than the stock ones. The dilema is I want to put the wheels on before I install the BBK. With the 35 offsets installed on the stock rotor hats the tires will potentially be sticking out of the fenders. Rub and bump my fenders? OH GOD! why does this have to be so difficult. I really don't need the 6 piston Wilwood BBK as I don't track my sedan. The 4 piston BBK is still a huge improvement over the POS OEM brakes.

Then I'd suggest getting a 17x8 +38 wheel. Most (depending on spoke design) will clear both the 6-pot and 4-pot. The only reason to get the 6-pot for a street application is that it may maintain pad life slightly better than the 4-pot. Also it will give you better street cred because 6 is always better than 4 yo! Seriously though, the 4-pot is huge improvement over OEM and it will save you $300.

I just purchased 4 5Zigen 17X8 43 mm offset wheels from Discount Tire. The 5Zigen website says these guys weigh in at 18 pounds/wheel. The stock 6 spokes are 23 lbs, so I am shaving some unsprung weight! When I replace those POS front brakes with the Arizona ZCar Wilwoods, I should be way lighter. I expect to really burn rubber now! My 235/50 ZR17 Pirelli tires will fit these wheels perfectly! Can't wait to get them installed. Pics to come.

When you loosen them, they bleed like any other bleeder, except that the ball keeps the pressure up when you release the pedal. So, that must be a pretty strong spring and the ball must be a perfect fit to seal the fluid.
Then, once you tighten the bleeder, it seals just as any normal bleeder seals. What a great idea... thanks for the info.

Anyways you will definitely feel a difference in handling and when launching. What color wheels did you get? Be sure to post up your own install thread when you get the new BBK and wheels on.
