Brake repairs Under Warranty
A headsup for we Canucks>>>>>> As found out by 'Youngcanuck' it looks like some premature brake jobs are going to be covered. More than that, the warranty will apply for 60k.
Here's a link to his thread in Sedan Forum:
Brake Jobs under warranty
Great news.........If anyone else hears anything, please post.

Re: Brake repairs Under Warranty
The warranty will cover only NON BREMBO units. The dealers will inspect the brakes and verify if replacement is required.
Squeeking is not a cause for replacement - since the G35 brakes naturally squeek and application due to pad composition.
The best is call your dealer if there is an issue. They will inspect for you and let you know.
Ohterwise the "Official letter is in the mail!"

Re: Brake repairs Under Warranty
Spoke to the service dept at Alta Infiniti today and they said that the information from Infiniti Canada has not come in yet with full details. They are aware of the situation and those who have had their brakes replaced will be reimbursed. Notices will be sent out to people from Infiniti Canada, I believe.
It's still a G thang!!

Re: Brake repairs Under Warranty
Brought my G in for its first service. I asked them to inspect the brakes for wear. They reported back that the brakes were already down to 60%!!! I only have 5100kms on the car and I don't brake heavily!
My service consultant did mention they will probably have to replace the brakes at 12,000 kms (hopefully, at their cost).
Great car, but man these brakes are something else...

Re: Brake repairs Under Warranty
Just got off the phone with Infiniti. The official letters are going to be sent out November 19th. In that letter it will state that any prior brake work on the vehicle will be fully reimbursed. This is great news since I had my front brakes done already and the rears sound like they need work too.

Kinezo, Make sure you've got receipts from the repair job. If you don't call the dealership for a replacement receipt.
Infiniti's # is: 800-361-4792.
There may be a separate # specificly for the brake warranty program which they will provide you with.
