I am thinking of bringing my table top propane BBQ and a cooler as I figured it would come in handy during the Gaspe part of the trip. It would be nice to cook up a few burgers or dogs along a scenic rest stop along the way. What do you guys think?

Alcohol - is it less expensive in the USA or Canada? Maybe I should bring some bottles of wine up.
Should I bring some swimming clothes? Are we going to the beach at all?

There will probably be some beaches around. The water around there is not too warm though and you'll definitely see some jelly fish.

I gave up my portable years ago. Maybe someone else I know has one. Oh wait, it won't fit in my coupe anyhow.

If I have room in my trunk, I'll bring my stove, but the room will be touch and go with my cooler and K's 5 suitcases
.Here we are enjoying a picnic in Nova Scotia on our last East Coast run.

LOL, that's funny Wayne.
H and I have had some nice picnics on the road too and hoping for lots of stops on this trip. My days of hard long driving days are done. We're raring to go.
I've got to detail the G soon. Waiting for some supplies to come in.

I'm reading up on the restrictions the Canadian border patrol has on what a US resident can bring into Canada...
The following are some examples of the limits that
apply to personal importations of food products
from the United States:
■ 2 dozen eggs;
■ 20 kilograms of dairy products not exceeding $20
in value (e.g. cheese and butter);
■ 3 kilograms of margarine or butter substitutes; and
■ 20 kilograms of edible meats and meat products,
including turkey and chicken.
Within this limit, more CFIA and ITCan restrictions
apply as follows:
■ a maximum of one whole turkey or 10 kilograms
of turkey products;
■ a maximum of 10 kilograms of chicken; and
■ a maximum of 5 kilograms of edible meats and
meat products from cattle, sheep, goat, bison and
buffalo.
Looks like I can't bring enough eggs to cook all of us a breakfast for even one morning. haha
It also says I can only bring 1.5 liters of Wine? Come on...that won't even last us 1 hour if we're all drinking.
"You can import gifts for friends in Canada duty- and
tax-free, as long as each gift is valued at CAN$60 or
less. If the gift is worth more than CAN$60, you will
have to pay duty and taxes on the excess amount.
You cannot claim alcoholic beverages, tobacco
products or business-related material as gifts."
What else does anyone ever want as a gift besides alcohol? lol
Do you guys have any suggestions for me? I've never crossed the border before.

^ hey you've done your homework Brian. LOL, that's funny about the eggs, meat etc. Fruits, vegetables etc are no no's too. It's pretty strict going back into the US as well. No suggestions other than don't even think of bringing in something you shouldn't and bring your passport. Not worth it especially to save a few bucks. Oh, gas up before you come over to save a few bucks. You've traveled out of the country before so no worries.
Last time US patrol held me up at St. Stephen for a half hour where you'll be crossing. Their geiger machines thought they detected radioactive substances on my car. It was someone in the lane next to me that had very recently had cancer treatment!

IIRC, no one likes this stuff anyways, but I figured I would ask just in case. If anyone wants me to bring them dulse from NB just let me know.
