Rubber Door Molding

Rubber Door Molding
Just wanted to know if any of you are experiencing the door molding at the bottom of the door tearing off? Mine for some reason is tearing off and I always keep my car clean as hell. It seems like the winter weather has caused this. Any of you know if this is covered under the bumper to bumper warranty. I am talking about the rubber molding that is the same color of your car at the bottom of the driver and passenger door.
Thanks
Thanks

Hey Guys,
I just had the same thing happen. I went to both Yorkville and Alta and they told me that it was NOT covered under the warranty. They said that it was common for this piece to fall off. It was around $80 for a new piece if I remember, plus the cost to paint it to match your car.
Hope this helps

That's odd. Jerry replaced my driver side under warranty. He did tell me I only get one replacement per side. But after the replacement, everything is fine now. I think it happens in winter because my woman opening the door, and pushing the door into a snowbank on our driveway. The bottom of the door would put a big dent into the snowbanks. She thought it was a great idea, because it wedged the door and it wouldn't close on her on windy days when she was trying to get her briefcase out.

I beleive the cold freeze weather we had in the Toronto area early this week caused it as my door was all covered in ice so I assume when I opened the door the rubber was frozen with the car and it ripped it. Regardless it is a car and it should withstand any type of weather.
