Unhappy This Sucks!

I was out in the yard this afternoon and I noticed the leaves on two trees have started to change color already. We've had beautiful weather so I was a little surprised to see it this early. I just hate the thought of winter coming in a couple of months.

Yeah we've got a couple of birch trees that are changing to yellow slightly and have dropped some leaves too. Everything else is totally green still.

Our falls for years now have been beautiful. Sept, Oct and even into Nov has seen some lovely weather. Cool nights and warm days. We've got lots of good stuff left yet Shane.

Great potato growing weather if you're a PEI farmer.

Due to the drought in the SE US, our trees are losing all of the leaves early. It's sad because they are all just turning an ugly yellowish shade and dropping- no other colors at all.

Wow, Sylvan Lake... the north thing.

I keep mine on the road until mid December before the first snow flies here.

Trees are turning here also and the salmon are starting to run the rivers to spawn.

This summer has gone waaaaaaaaay too fast. Other signs for me that the summer is over are:
Had our end of the season Steak Barbeque yesterday at the Yacht Club.
Next week our Fishing Club has it's Pig Roast.
Then I have to pull my boat for the season

Oh well it won't be long and K & I should be joining our G-friends on the Cape Breton Run next year.

Have to start thinking of our trips south soon.

Pat & I headed out for a little cruise this morning
& it was very noticeable, that things are starting to change already.
WOW, where did summer go?
Hopefully we'll get a looooong Indian summer this fall

Hopefully it's still many months before we get any white stuff...
Looks like we'll be hunkered down this winter w/o any forays to the sunny south
The vacation budget has been (& is still) getting blown to bits this year

Sorry to throw this way off topic, but how is your leg doing? I played golf for the first time in 8 months and shot a 40 (only 9 holes) haha not bad for not picking up a club in that long.
