If you are going to be occasional, it depends on who the principal driver is because the majority of the rate will be based on them.

I'm 37, no tickets or claims for at least five years. Paying about 1050 per year with PC Financial Insurance on an 04 Coupe.

The poor little insurance companies in Alberta, that have shown record profits in recent years, were shot down on their request to the Alberta Government to increase all insurance rates by an average of $225. Their claim was that with no cap on soft-tissue injury claims they'll need up to 40% more from every Alberta driver just to stay afloat. I guess they beleive they need a 50% profit margin, too bad for them the government disagreed and granted them an increase of only 5%.

I'm 23 years old driving an 04 g35 coupe, no tickets/traffic violations. Paying $1,800 a year for car insurance and $100 a year for renters insurance from State Farm. Doesn't seem like a bad deal to me (better than i expected anyways).

31 yrs old, 2008 G35 sedan, live in downtown T.O.

No accidents or tickets and I pay $1350 per year with PC financial ins.
