Tire Road Hazard

I felt a "thump" from the passenger front tire - at first I thought I had a flat...turned out it was a huge screw, all the way in. Looks like its in the side wall part of the tire.

Would this be repairable, or am I looking at a new tire (Eagle RSA)?

The car is less than a year old, but I never took out the $500 tire package, so I'm on a pay-as you go plan. I assume the dealer wont do anything for me, so I'm planning on going to the local Goodyear dealer, TireDepot, around the corner.

Looks like a thow-away but just to be sure let the experts look at it at your local tire shop.
They'll know for sure if it's repairable.

It wont be patched since it's in the corner. I had to trow away two tires last year because some moron on my street kept throwing his junk out of his garage onto the street and both times i got hit in the corner!

Thanks for the info guys. You were all correct. Could not be fixed, so had to buy a new one - $214. Ouch. WAs in anout out in under 30 minutes so cant complain about the service!

Still cheaper than the $499 package I suppose, but I get only get one more of these 'hazards' before the package would have paid off. Oh well.

Was tempted to look at 4 new ones, but that was closer to $750 plus tax. Tires only have 13,000km so I figured 'not this time' but its something I might do if this happens again at a later date.

If I go that route, I assume there is wide opionion on what a great 4 season tire would be.. is there a favourite amongst G35 owners?? Pirelli P4? Yokahama??? For my style of driving I'm looking more for ride comfort, reduced noise, good wet/snow handling reduction, etc
