Wouldn't you be able to just program the new flip key with your car since it comes with it's own transponder?

I bought 2 flip keys from ebay, both eventually broke cause the screw couldn't hold everything together. Went back to stock unfortunately.

If anyone had a good experience with from a specific dealer, feel free to post. I know there's lots of different versions so maybe there's a superior one out there.

Mine is pretty decent quality and not very expensive. I also left a detailed review on Amazon of how I did it. http://www.amazon.com/4Buttons-Remot...owViewpoints=1

Mine has a small opening as well but that's because of the way I had to put in my remote board. It comes with 2 screws so you should be able to screw it shut without space on the sides.

I just bought one of these of ebay as well, removed the chip from my original key and placed into the new one. After closing it i can still here it moving around when the key fob is being moved. Does anyone know where exactly the chip is suppose to go or if im suppose to install it with the green housing that the chip was enclosed on the oem key?

The transponder chip goes into the small half trapezoid shaped slot near the top of the key fob (right next to where the spring and metal key sit).

This is the slot that I'm referring to.

Flip Key

I have this one

Amazon.com: 4 Buttons Keyless Case For Nissan Altima Maxima 350z Infiniti G35 I35 Remote Flip Key No Chips Inside: Car Electronics Amazon.com: 4 Buttons Keyless Case For Nissan Altima Maxima 350z Infiniti G35 I35 Remote Flip Key No Chips Inside: Car Electronics

and it has NO gaps; the chip goes in the red box. I used sticky-tac to keep mine in place.
