Bodyshop advice
So I want to paint my rear bumper due to the fact that its pretty beat up but mostly because of the G35 emblem that left a mark. The guy told me $200 to flash paint the G35 emblem part and $250 to paint the whole rear bumper. I also told him to fix a few scratches and dents as well while hes at it and he said he will detail the car to see if the scratches remove and if not he will paint it and will charge $400 to make the car look like new again basically.
Now he use to charge $150 to paint just the bumper alone (I know because all my friends go to him but he told me price went up)
So i'm just wondering if you think it would be worth it for me to pay $400 to fix my whole car and look brand new (I have a lot of scratches and 2-3 small dents) Or just pay $250 to paint the rear bumper itself.
If it's not worth it for either of em and you know a cheaper place let me know.
Thanks for the help!

Yeah no way you're getting. A proper job for $400 but I would still take that option between the two.
To do a proper job on a bumper he's gotta remove it completely, prep it properly and use the right materials... That's worth way more than $400 on its own.
You're only going to get the car looking new with a proper polishing job and that takes nearly a full day. That'll be $400 on its own as well.

He does a good job a few of my buddy get their paintjobs from their and a buddy of mine totaled his whole front and he fixed it and looking stock again within 3 days. Reason for it being cheap is because he went to the same school and friends with my friends and it's the area that its in.
But if you guys say go for it, I guess I will be doing the whole car for $400.
(If I'm not satisfied in the end he will repaint whatever needs to be done again for free)

Does he do it out of a shop?
If it's not a full size shop these guys can afford to do it since they have no over head and basically do cars for the love of it.
But if he's in a shop he's going to be cutting corners. Like the shop that painted Bhav's car (Geerider) painted the whole car for $1000 but didn't prime any of bumpers....

Yeah he owns a body shop, does that for a living. I'm just painting the car the same colour but not the whole car just scars that detailing wont be able to remove.
