Crazy...
It was on the news here that someone was charged with assault in a gas station line up, when a fight broke out

Well the price in Kincardine at the one station dropped from 154. /liter to 109.9 this morning.
I managed to get my jerry cans and truck filled up for 104.9 and no line-ups at all this morning. It was like Mass hysteria yesterday everywhere .Today nothing.

That's good news Wayne. I can't understand how stations can justify shooting up to 1.54 and then pumping gas from the same tank at 1.09.9 the next day. It's clearly opportunism and not smart long term business.

Definitely price gouging. I was talking to a fellow on the phone last night down by Lake Erie and he paid $1.86 at 3 AM (he was on empty) and at 9:30 AM it was back down to $1.10. He went in and tore a strip off the guy, yelling and screaming at him, and the gas attendant threw the difference at him and said GO!

I would be a little p!ssed myself if I was him. Price gouging is putting it mildly. How else would you describe a 76 cent increase/decrease all within less than 24 hours. Crazy stuff.

well, people are allowed to charge whatever they want for gas (esp the independent outlets) - i blame the idiots that actually thought there was a legitimate shortage

+1.... -- Pure greed.

One station here in Cambridge area jumped to $1.79/ liter! late yesterday...according to our listings on Gastips.com .
On my trip out today, I won't be too surprised if I see similar pricing. UGGGG

Nothing too wacky here but all 4 of our vehicles were just fueled up yesterday.

Gas in Edmonton is still $100.4 at most stations for Regular. I filled up my car and a couple of jerry cans today.

At most stations now in CAmbridge, it's about $103.9 or thereabouts.
My local (and favourite) Petro-Can station ran out of gas yesterday afternoon about 3 pm.. They've just now had their tanks refilled. (Reg.= $1.03)

FWIW....
I asked the attendant about prices in surrounding locals, and he told me about a certain station in Woodstock who raised their price to $2.50/liter!!!!

that calculates out to about $11.35/gallon. (Imp)!!!!!!

INSANITY

Shades of when I was in Europe last summer. I had a car rented for our German part of the trip. The first fill was a shocker.

Yes Deane, the gas prices in Europe are much higher than here.....(generally) so we can get some consolation from that .....

....lol, I still want $.50/liter fuel back again tho.

Man if gas was at 50 cent again I would be in my car every night crusing. We can't even cruise for chicks anymore cuz that is too expensive.

LOL, It likely won't go back even close to that again, but it's a nice thought.

I'm sure everyone would settle for $.75/liter now, then cruzin' chicks wouldn't cost too much.
