Are Clear Side Markers Legal in Canada?

Does anyone know if clear side markers are legal in Canada (Ontario)? I put in the Nissan clear side markers, with the amber bulbs, but like them better with the original white bulbs.

Is this ok? Has anyone been pulled over for this? I've seen another thread about this, but they were talking about Hawaii.

Thanks

Clear markers are legal is the blue bulbs that goes in that are not. If you don't want to get hassel by the cops keep the amber bulbs. Or get some chrome yellow so during the day you don't see the yellow bubl but when you turn them on they are amber.

Legal..

wow... when was that written? so you have to have two lights on the front, and one on the rear... that doesn't even mention the side markers.

are they required? my brother has a mustang, with red reflectors on the side of the rear bumper and he's thinking of removing them entirely.

the original white lights from the yellow side markers are an ugly yellowish white, so I guess I'm ok.

That's good to know, Jason. I thought those front lights had to be amber.
TNX for posting the appropriate section of the HTA.

I think the signal lights have to be amber or red. I guess the marker lights don't. When I had my 330CI, I changed to clear signals on the back and kept the white/clear bulbs and was pulled over and got a warning.

I was lucky on the M....it came with clear signals at the front with amber bulbs, so I changed them out for Silverbulbs that flash amber only.
I like it a lot, altho it's probably not 100% legal.

Picus,
I've not seen bulbs that are clear and light up amber, but the silverbulbs I bought from AutoWerks (sp?) in Cali display silver but light up amber.....
but damn are they expensive: a pair was about $25 USD + shipping, handling, taxes = $32 USD. !!!!!

That reminds me that I need some 'after' pics.
I'll post the b4 and after install of these gems. I like the effect.

Do you mind me asking what you paid on ebay for the clear/amber lighted bulbs? and those are for the G's side markers (CC's) right? (size 168)?

Here you go - I'll take pics on the car if you want to check them out.

And here are the ones you would use in the headlight assembly if you clear the amber part.
