another zaino thread....

Finally used zaino on my car... took me about 5 hours... enjoy!

step1 : wash with dawn
step2 : clay
step3 : wash with regular car soap
step4 : z5 with ZFX
step5 : z2 with ZFX
step6 : Z8
step7 : z2 with ZFX
step8 : Z8

the result

Looks real slick. Nice work! May I ask why the repeat of Z2 then Z8?

Z5 and Z2 "layer" with each application to make the shine every so slightly "deeper". Diminishing returns after 3-4 coats (and you can switch between Z5 and Z2).

The Z8 is a touch-up spray (and rumored to have a small amount of activated Z2) which can really bring out the detail. Perhaps he just thought he needed another layer of Z2? Can't ever be too shiny, ya know!

Looks great!
I do a similar process but typically use Z6 between coats and Z8 as a final sealant.

do they sale zaino in any local stores like a pepboys or autozone or even a dealership? also i see you washed it after you used clay? Are you supposed to wash it after you use clay or did you just wash it just because.

I don't think u can buy zaino in any local stores.. check out www.zainobros.com. I washed it after I clayed b/c it was required/recommand.

Zaino cult.................

Anyone that details cars for a living will tell you it's stupid to wash the car
with dish detergent......wheel wells and under the hood is ok but not
the painted surface!

not really.. once in awhile its ok... to strip off the old wax..
