NJ Tints?

i should be getting my coupe in about a month or so and i need to find a good place than can do the tints well for a good price. i'm in bergen county nj, my dealer said he could most likely find a place to do it for me before i get the car but i don't know if i should trust that or not. anyone know of somewhere i can go.
looking to get 20% tints on all windows except the front windshield. as for the back windshield, i want the WHOLE thing, not one of those tint jobs where they don't cover the third brake light. i hate cars with that :X and yea i'm not getting a spoiler
post prices and places please. thanks

Re: NJ Tints?

will they do all the windows? even the drivers side and passengers side? I know that is illegal in NJ...that's why I am asking. Does the tint fade after a while?

Re: NJ Tints?

If the tint fades, bubbles, changes color, or peels, it was of cheap quality and poor installation. Only go to tint shops that offer lifetime warranty against that stuff.

I went to NY to have my car tinted. all windows except the windshield.

Re: NJ Tints?

Oh okay...see my whole driving life, I have tinted my own...but now I am getting lazy and making money so I want someone else to do it. Thanks for the info...,I hate seeing tint with that "purple" effect...

Re: NJ Tints?

Yeah, plenty of those nasty blue/purple bubbled tint jobs in this area. For quality, i suggest Metallic or Ceramic tints. Whichever place you chose, ask how they tint the rear windshield. There is a ceramic dot matrix pattern towards the top. Getting the tint to stay on that area is extremely hard. Make sure they don't use vinyl or sand the dots down. They should give you an answer along the lines of using a special chemical adhesive used exclusively for that area.

Re: NJ Tints?

afr0puff,
Thanks...I had never heard that before about sanding down the dots...like I said, I had always applied my own tint, but I don't have any more spare time to do it.
Thanks again.
Kerry
