Tried the KLASSE route...

I finally got around to try the KLASSE System on my Coupe.
First off, It went on and off pretty smoothly......
the trick is not to use too much.....

The All in one....needs no drying time...wipe on and wipe off...
covered the small scratch/swirl marks amazingly well....

The Sealant/Glaze requires more time to "cure" so you cover the entire car and then buff off.....If you use too much of this stuff it takes a little more work to remove it....

I followed up the procedure with a detailing of SONUS Acrylic Detail spray.....
This removed all residue and put more gloss and smoother feel to the touch as well.....

Since my car is white....the pictures do not give a true presentation of how great my car turned out.....
but for any interested here goes.......

I'm a Klasse fan myself. Works pretty well on my IP. Every week I wash, I add another layer of sealant glaze on there. The shine is great, but that Sonus spray is $$$.

Looks good, I have just purchased Klasse AIO abd SG along
with P21, I know the Zaino Zealots will hate me but thats it
for Zaino. Are you converted over to Klasse and what were you
using before.

Re: Tried the KLASSE route...

I was impressed on how well the Klasse worked....
It definitely covered up almost all of the swirl/scratch marks, and to be honest I think I took way to much time rubbing....
I don't think this system needed alot of physical exertion on my part.....
I also purchased the P21 carnauba wax, but did not have the time to apply it that day.....next coat of sealant/glaze I will do the top coat of P21...

I will have to see how well it holds up in the long term exposure to the elements.....

Believe it or not.....My last Infiniti I35 and this car have seen nothing but Mothers products.....I used the carnauba paste cleaner/wax, and also Mother's Reflections liquid cleaner/polish. After each wash I would detail with Mothers Showtime Detail spray.....kept my finish smooth and water beaded quite well......each waxing lasted me around 2-3 months
Since my car is exposed to the elements 24/7, I really have more concern with the products long term resistance to weather conditions......

My boytoy Slim says all you need is Turtle wax, works great and can by it at pepboys.

Sonus is $$$, I since switched to Meguiar's Final Inspection just because of the price. You can get the gallon bottle from properautocare for 27.95 (including shipping), which comes out to 3.49 per 16oz bottle! Meguiar's FI doesn't include any wax or silcone, therefore safe for Klasse SG removal. BTW, i picked this tip up from autopia.org (some hardcore Klasse user's there)!

Re: Tried the KLASSE route...

Not to sound like an advertisement, but I've been trying this:
http://www.poorboysworld.com/spray-wipe.htm

and it works real well on my Klasse'd car. No gloss enhancers like other QD sprays, but it still works well and is pretty cheap. Definitely an improvement over the Meguiar's Quik Detail I was using previously.

imho Klasse-Souveran is the best, esp for black/red.

Re: Tried the KLASSE route...

I was a member of the Autopia forums in it's infancy; around '99. This is when we all started with Klasse. It's sure grown into a virtual worldwide movement!

Get a Porter Cable 7424. It will quicken your Klasse application/removal, plus it give a little more punch to the cleaning and swirl reducing effects of All-In-One.

And if I may deviate from the Klasse/Souveran combo, I love One Grand Blitz Wax. It is definately a favorite among car enthusiasts. Anything from One Grand is good stuff. People say the only problem with Blitz Wax is the price; it's so cheap! You can buy a 15 ounce can for $22 online. Souveran is almost 5 times more expensive! I guarantee you will love One Grand if you love Souveran. Their "Show-Off" quick detailer is great too.

Re: Tried the KLASSE route...

Thanks for the tip elvis..........
I washed my car today and re-applied a second coat of KLASSE Sealant/Glaze......It was much easier to put on/take off this time......any remaining wax came off with a damp towel....I then applied a coat of SONUS acrylic spray....
WOW....my car looks like glass........
A little bonus is the coconut smell of the Sonus spray!

I know everybody has his/her own favorites....but this system so far has given me the best results IMO,.....I haven't done the Zaino route yet....but if this product gives me good protection for 6 months or more....I will probably stick with it.....
