i just bought the zaino z1, z2, and z6 spray. i was wondering since i already dawned my car and put on the z1 then 2 coats of z2, when would i have to start all over again with the z1? how many coats of z2 am i supposed to put on and how often

 

The more Z2 you put on, the better! Each coat will make the shine deeper and richer looking. If you already clayed the car and have a coat of Z2 on it, just wash it, spray it with Z6 and then throw another coat of Z2 on! Do this a few weekends in a row, or everyother weekend for stellar results!

 

At the same time, you only need to do it 4-6 months when you get a good coat on there. I re-Zaino mine about every 3 months, but z6 every time I wash!

But on your specific quesiton of how often do you need to start again with Z1 wasn't addressed....

You can layer Z2 (wipe down with Z6 for best results) without starting again with Z1.

But you should use with Z1 as the base again every six months, or after 8-10 layers (if you are putting on more than 8 layers in six months).

 

Really your a dinosaur if your using z1, as zx additive takes care of the z1 step, add right to z5 or z2 and z6 between!!!

Personally, I do use ZFX. But, not everyone wants to pay for the extra cost of ZFX, so I'm just trying to help answer how often to reapply Z1 if that the route someone is going with.

PS, while I do primarily us ZFX, I also have Z1.... it's still helpful if I want to one extra coat (when I don't have time for multiple coats), or just to apply to a small area (e.g. after paint chip repairs).
