I've seen people use this and it's lasted well over a year. My neighbor's Jeep I did last June looks just like the first day I refinished them and he doesn't even apply the UV spray I give customers. So I would say 2+ years if you take decent care of them.

I'm looking forward to detailing my car in a week or so and I will take care of these bad boys by sanding, polishing, sealant and wax! That should do the trick..

This is what I have
That is the first and possibly the second layer of plastic baking off your headlight. My Jeep GC was doing that and I remembered an old trick. It will take some time by hand. Turtle wax rubbing compound. I believe its a green plastic can now. They also make it in liquid form that works much better. Just grab a micro fiber towel and start making small circles moving towards the area. It will take some time by hand but I've gone that route too. Also clears up yellow or oxidization, but for only a couple weeks. GL

220/400/800/1000/1500 then hit up with 3 compounds and then the sealant. It sounds like overkill but it renders unmatched results and 100% customer satisfaction.

I think Bigd2k6's choice of sand paper is a bit over the top for most restorations. I used 2000 grit only for my headlights: https://g35driver.com/forums/care-de...ml#post5833126

However, there is a spiderweb effect where the headlight beams have been pounding the plastic, and in which case I can see using a more aggressive grit like 220 or 440 to remove about 2 millimeters of the headlight cover and then progressing towards a finer grit sand paper to smooth it all out.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of UV sealant are you using?
