Yeah that's a good idea, keep the OEM wheels that stain through the clear and then need to be stripped and repainted or powdercoated. And to answer your question, don't curb your wheels, it's pretty easy if you try.

Sorry for the rant, I love the look and finish on most of the stock G wheels but the fact they stain so easily is a headscratcher.

I'm getting the feeling the OP just gave up. Many times it is easier to just take it up the poop shoot than it is to deal with a dealer.
