Does everyone apply and remove by hand? Anyone use a polisher or buffer?

I'm hoping to use a polisher for my G very soon, I just ordered a Porter Cable polisher last week. A few people have said it makes the job much easier and they liked using theirs.

As far as z-8, been thinking about ordering it. It says to only use for special occasion for you want extreme shine, and it doesnt replace z-6. You can use z-8 once a week but according to them its not very cost effective, since z-6 would do the job just fine. I want it so my car can shine a lil extra at the FGC car meets.
thanks for the advice escobar. i think i'm beginning to understand this system a little more now, with reading all the reviews/forums/procedures and all.

i too am thinking about the z-8. but with the amt of money that i jus' spent on this kit, the towels, and the wheel cleaner/wax, i'm a little hesitant at spending another $20 for "special occassions." besides, the normal zaino stuff seems to loko good to me.

I always apply/remove the Zaino by hand since it requires a different method on the top and sides of the car. Zaino is applied in a back and forth motion, not circular. You apply it front to back on the top surfaces, and up and down on the sides. This method eliminates the "spider webs" you see in the paint when the sun shines on the car. I put on 1-2 coats of Z2 after every wash. I am a fanatic. Just did another 3 coats of z2 this past weekend and the car is shinier now that when it's wet.
