Re-Apply Zaino
Re-Apply Zaino
OK, just applied Zaino to my car.
Dawn, Clay Bar, Z5, Z6, Z5, Z6, Z2, Z6.
What type of maintenance should I be doing to keep it shinny. (Besides Z6 after a wash)
Can I add a coat (or two) once a month without starting all over (ie Strip Zaino with Dawn)?

Re: Re-Apply Zaino
You will probably never need to dawn wash you car again and start over. Just keep on applying Zaino's when you want. Once a month is good. After applying the desire number of coat of Zaino's wether it is z2 or z5, I just zaino my car about once every 2month or until the car stops beading.

Re: Re-Apply Zaino
Agree with wreck, I just Z6 from time to time because it makes the car gorgeousm and I like the smell of Z6 ;o) . With the heat, I'm making sure to take care of the interior, and with the roads now in good shape and clean, making sure to get lots of time behind the wheel. Unlikely that I will Z2 again til late summer.
It's official, I've bought everything Zaino sells. And having tried everything, I can also say, I'm really pleased with every product they sell.
Cheers,

Re: Re-Apply Zaino
Originally I bought it because I wanted to do the clay bar thing by the book, and it calls for Z7 for lube. The thought of dragging clay, or anything else, over the entire car is somewhat disconcerting for the uninitiated. And I was impressed. My father is the pickiest car wash soap guy, and after I bought it, I thought hey, let's see if he likes it. (kinda like Mikey, the Life Cereal kid ;o) ). Guess what, he loves it. It foams nice, seems "slick" on the car- no abrasion. No film. I don't know how much is because of the Z2 and Z6, or if it's the Z7, but bugs seem to wipe right off the front, tar comes off easy, brake dust no prob (and I like to keep the inner part of the wheels clean). You don't need to use much, so it's no more costly than any other soap. I will add that for most of my work, I use a lamb's wool mitt (I know there are some who would choose otherwise, and I accept their choice to do so). Stuff comes off so easy, I rarely need to use a "bug scrubber" anymore.
So there you go- Z7 rocks.
BM, I had two small stains on the willow leather (probably squished mosquitoes or other irritating little bugs)- Z9- done in a snap. It has conditioners in it- not hard on the leather at all. Much faster cleaning than Mother's too, for example. I've Z-10ed the interior twice now. Not only do I get constant "I love that new car smell" comments from passengers, including my boss today for example, but the leather seams very supple, and unlike some leather care stuff, the Z-10 dries really nice- no greasy film (again, better than Mother's in this regard. Don't get me wrong, I think the Mother's leather cleaner and leather conditioner are good products too, just not as good as the Zaino and no difference in price). Very important, it doesn't discolour the embroidery on the seat-backs, which I will admit was a concern for me with the willow interior.
So yes, I'm a member of the cult.
