How soon did you Zaino?

Hey folks,

Just picked up our G35 yesterday. How soon did you zaino? Not sure whether I should do it now or wait...

Re: How soon did you Zaino?

if your dealership applied wax then you can wait a bit before you wash/zaino

I don't like the idea of using a dawn wash to strip the wax on a new car to apply zaino.

if there is no wax you can zaino right away

Hrmmmm,

I have no idea whether or not the car was waxed, they just told me they needed 2-3 hours to 'prep' the car. I guess I should go examine the finish later.

Re: How soon did you Zaino?

I have to concur, while I don't profess to be a professional a detailer, the stuff is absolutely amazing. Typically with a wax you have to wait for it to haze and then you have to put in elbow grease to take it off. With zaino, while there are a few extra steps involved, the ease with thich it goes on an off is ridiculous. After you've applied the first base (which can take several hours w/o that new flashprep), it's merely a matter of maintaining it. I did my black eclipse gsx, every day for a week 1 hour each day. In the end it's absolutely beautiful.

Re: How soon did you Zaino?

The first weekend after I got the car.

I love Zaino. Tried Zymol, it worked nice, but to hard to use.

Re: How soon did you Zaino?

the "walmart zymol" is not the real zymol. The real stuff is super expensive. It has been about 10 years since I have purchased Zymol, but I remember the pure carnauba waz to be close to $50 for the little tub. It was some seriously slippery stuff, though. It had the most beautiful , natural tropical smell to it also.
