Exclamation Logo Stitching on our Seats can be cleaned!

Not brand new, but a HECK of a lot better.

Agree or no?

Used ArmorAll Orange De-Greaser Rags that come in that plastic tube dispenser.

It's hard not to get some of the solution on the leather itself, especially when throwing in some elbow grease to cut through all that crap.

Be careful, b/c I could see where I wore down the leather a bit around the Stitching, but not enough that you can really tell that much.

Worth the price I paid with the leather, to have the "light cream" color come back out in the lettering. Black interiors are lucky in this department for sure.

**OK, how in the heck do I upload a picture that is only 100KB!???
How do you guys get huge sized pics loaded and they are only 100KB? I highly doubt that. **

Someone let this dumb@ss (me) know how I can get the large pictures I've got uploaded...

TO BE CONTINUED...

Just use one of the gazillion image hosting sites (imagecave.com for example)

Wink

Thanks!

What I'm going to do next is grab some q-tips and dip them in the solution that the rags are soaked in and do a few more apps. The Leather would go nuts if I rubbed on it anymore.

I'm going to hit the leather up with Zymol cleaner and conditioner when I'm done as well.

With a few more apps over the next few months (hit it when you have a free moment or two), it *should* be looking more and more like it did when it rolled off the line...

P.s. YA'LL CAN USE THIS STUFF FOR THE CARPET LOGOS AS WELL, but it's going to take much more apps and much more elbow grease, but it should lighten up the stitching a great deal. Take the very first rag and rub on the logo good and tough and stop and take a look at the rag. You'll see it pulling the dirt and grim out!!!

Hope this helps guys,
-WoW

Interesting approach. I've always used a woolite/water mixture, same as I use on upholstered seats. It seems to work perfectly...

They're supposed to be white.

My interior is "WILLOW", and the stitching isn't white, but it's a lite "cream".

Thanks for the compliments from some of you. I expect (hope) it comes out even 'brighter' once I apply a few more apps to it. Very exciting to have my logo's back!

Oh, I suppose I should go into "my wife talking about paint mode" and say that perhaps the stiching isn't entirely white, but an off-white, like eggshell or perhaps a slightly dirty bunny.

The 303 Cleaner and Spot Remover is great on the stitching as well. You can clean leather with it as well but it doesn't have conditioners in it so I stick to Leatherique Prestine Clean and Rejuvenator for leather. Actually you can use both of those products to clean the surface as well and it comes out great too. They really do a great job reviving leather, vinyl and plastic surfaces throughout the interior if you have a faded surface.
