Hi Jack,
We had not engineered or made any VK56DE to 6-speed bell housing adapters yet. We are currently working on an adapter plate for adapting the VH41DE engine to the 6-speed and after we complete that version then we will work on the VK56DE version. So right now, nothing to adapt the VK56DE yet.

We had for a local off road buggy that used a VK56DE engine, made an adapter for the front timing cover to allow an early Q45 CAS unit to fit and an early Q45 engine harness was used along with the matching ECU. We reprogrammed this ECU to run this VK56DE engine. The engine runs a set of our JWT C8 cams and valve springs and the customer had adapted on some "Extrudabody" throttle bodies and made a common intake plenum with a Ford Lightning MAF sensor on the inlet pipe. This made 400 wheel HP and here is a link to a dyno of this VK56DE buggy:

You can check with www.mckinneymotorsports.com about the possibility of making engine mounts and a transmission crossmember and maybe doing the engine harness wiring work too.
Contacting Mckinney Motorsports now.

you could probably get in contact with the guys at Drift Emporium in Georgia. They have 2 G35s with boosted VK56s. I'm pretty sure they're running the factory 6mt...

So this VK swap keeps looking a little discouraging each time I try to get answers lol...

Hi Jack,
The years of Q45s that we upgrade the ECUs are 1990-95. The 94-95 are a newer version ECU than the 90-93 so those would be better.

You will have some work to get the engine in. I have now idea as to whether or not the existing engine crossmember would be in the correct space and allow the engine to fit. Definitely will need customer engine mounting brackets and mounts, transmission crossmember, custom driveshaft, a custom transmission adapter plate (we might have in the future as I mentioned), custom flywheel, proper clutch, throw out bearing/slave cylinder system, etc.
I'll just have to wait till someone has a turnkey solution that I could try to do myself.

Yes we will be using the Titan computer and harness, both will be modified to work without the BCM and other body computers….Mack
So I guess as far as ecu goes I could use either one... but it doesnt make sense to me, if everyone is reprogramming them, couldnt they just reprogram the g35 ecu to do the same?
