Gotta save up your pennies man, from what I hear that setup is quite pricey!

I'm just glad I finally found a place local to me that was lowered car friendly

not really that pricey...around 2k...maybe alittle more but for a drive on lift like that.....I have already priced them out of Firestones catalog! there are few places I have found them as well.

here is a fairly nice one.

The one they have has an adjustable second set of lifts in the center that picked the frame of the car up. Notice in the second pic, no wheels on the car. I think that mod was what jacked the price up.

Quote: I also recently took my car to PTP (http://protuningperformance.com/) to get some tires swapped and an alignment performed. I installed the Kinetix F&R Alignment Setup as well as replaced the worn bushings on my 100K+ ride. Forrest & Kyle have a great shop and perform their work very professionally. They were very quick to answer all of my questions, and were comfortable even with me hovering around. Check out their website for all of the services they perform. They are already listed in the places to go for sticky thread.
Those guys are awesome. Next time you go in there, mention me (John from SoCal) and they'll take even better care of you!!!

Quote: Im already on titantalk dot com so any other sites that you think may be helpful - I will get on. its an 04 4x4 king cab..Bish sits HIGH and I know Im taller than other titans cause I parked next to one at lowes.
Im just on stock tires - dont plan on getting rims anytime soon (depends on the deal I get though) but do want something better than the 255/70/18 thats on there now...but I have good tread so Im researching and looking at the nitto terra grapplers.. dunno though.

I will be going over her with a fine tooth comb..no telling what the previous owner did/didnt do..
didn't answer all your questions I realized later... titantalk is the most frequented forum I've found, but it still doesn't have a ton of traffic and takes a while to get answers some time.

Also, those tires are actually smaller than what they should be. Those measure out to just over 32" and stock is 33". Though, my 285/70/17's were only 32.6". Sadly my aftermarket tires (305/55/20) provide a more accurate speedo reading than the stock size on my stock rims (yes, it's stupid).

The Nitto's are what I have on my aftermarket rims, they are fantastic so far and they get a lot of good praise. DEFINITELY the best bang for the buck. They may not last as long as some other brands, but when you compare the cost, it's just not worth it. The Nitto wins hands down.

I've been painting wrecked hoods for two weeks now. Automotive painting is definitely a craft. Hats off to you Stephan!

I'm having Bill install the coil-overs, end-links and sways today. All new suspension FTW!!

yeah I gave up on body work while I live in an apt... without a booth and a good compressor its hard to paint anything bigger than a grill.

its just a pain to do with out a booth too because of all the particles in the air.

Raised my rear coils last night 3/8".... backed the car onto the road and realized I liked it better before. Ended up getting one of the collets bound up so I had to drop the spring bucket and pull the sleeve out and douse it with WD40 and throw it in the vise to get it unbound. Shoulda just kept the damn car at the height I had it at.

Dude I understand how you feel. I'm tired of scraping the front man...I need to raise this bish soon. Tired of having to slow down for everything and worrying about hurting my car as opposed to DRIVING my car
