Could I do any damage driving for a while without the o2 sensors?

well considering the ecu uses o2 sensor readings to adjust the a/f ratio it is possible. likely you'll just notice lower performance and worse gas mileage since it will probably go into a safe mode.

Do you mean with them unplugged or removed from the car all together?

02 sensors are for pussies. take em both off and let em hang.

Isn't there an A/F sensor pre cat or something?

there are one on headers and one after cat on each side.

Yes, its called on oxygen sensor

So same thing on both ends? The header ones are O2 sensors too?

you have upstream and downstream. Total of 4. 2 up top in the headers and 2 in the cats. What is the problem with yours? do you have an SES light?? did you check codes which is the reason your mentioning on having bad o2 sensors?


the header o2's read hot signal and rears read cold.

They are both damaged and wires are frayed on both so I need to get new ones. There is SES light.

Yea, your fuel mixture is rich for safety when the SES light is on. Just need to replace them
