Hmmm! Thanks for all of your responses! I'm looking at working in two different places simultaneously (Mesquite and Duncanville), so I'll be stuck to driving across town no matter what I do.

A place to work that actually has decent potential for me the grow. Might not be the most ideal, but that would be fine to get started and gain some experience before moving out on my own.

I don't know what the place looks like or anything. Im flying out there feb 6-8 to check it out.

I know that listening to you guys will be very helpful while I roam around Dallas. It'll also help me to know before hand what kind of communities I'm looking at.

Are those areas run down with tons of homeless people? Would you be afraid to park your cars out there? What is it about the areas that make you cringe?

In the ghetto?

Adrian

well, like every city, they have ghetto areas. generally speaking, i dont go to duncanville unless it's for work. The cities you named are on the east side of sdallas or south, and neither of those areas is preferable if you want to be able to leave your car anywhere, if you catch my drift. honestly, it's mostly north dallas area is where you want to stay.

so if you look on a map, look at dallas. You'll see i-30 cutting across dallas, I would stay above that. Mesquite has turned into more of a ghetto place, along with garland, but there's a section that's just ridiculous awesome.

like we said, farmers branch, addison, carrollton, Las Colinas (north irving) would be a better choice to start off with, and most of us are in those area.

but like you said, it all depends on where you stay. If you really want cheap houses and stuff, frisco, denton, mckinney would be a good choice.

ok.

Good info. I'll report back after Feb 8 when I go visit Dallas.

Clearly, I'll have to factor in the "daily driver" into the costs lol. the G is too much of a "see me here" car
