That was on Nitto Invo's 275/30/20. Not the best drag tire LOL.

I'm not a big track guy so I don't know how well the track prep was. I spun a lot...

Man thats fast! If the 60' was a respectable 2.0ish you would be in the 11s. Try some DRs?

Next time I am going to take out all my stereo stuff, put my lighter 19's on the front and see if I can get some 18's with DR's for the rear.

I have some 18" BFG DRs 275/35 I run on my stock 18" I havent used them much ...yet as I broke two axles (on different occasions) this year trying to use them. The 5-6 passes I got with them on my 60' were 2.0 my best 60' with 19"street tires was also 2.0?? I did notice much more concistency with the DRs I was always 2.0xx with streets I could be 2.0xx to 2.3xx. I think more time with the DRs I hope to get some 1.8 60's. When I bought mine I was limited on sizes availible (dont try to buy DRs in the spring) and the smaller overall diameter I got affects my gear ratios and causing me to have to shift once right near the end of the 1/4mile I also noticed about a 3-4mph loss on my MPH in the 1/4 just something to keep in mind.

Aren't your stock 18's 18x8"?

If so, why are you running 275's on there?

Yes 18x8 with 275s they work fine its not ideal but it dosent cause any problems either. A 9" rim is recomended for 275mm tires and you lose aprox 2/10ths of an inch contact patch for every 0.5" your rim is too narrow so I lose about 4/10ths of an inch of contact patch on my 8"rim I am not sure how that math applies to under inflated tires such as slicks and drag radials. I didnt want to spend the extra cash on wider wheels for 4-5 trips to the track a year so I was willing to sacrifice a little.

That's good to know. I was going to get some 18x9.5's but that will cost me another $300 so maybe I will get some MT 265's and call it a day.

I was looking for 265s but like I said I waited till spring and ended up buying the closet thing I could find and I was lucky to get these. So now would be the time to start looking for R-compound tires.

my car is 2456:

14.036 @ 99.99 COMPLETELY BONE STOCK, this was from like last year, never posted obviously, just saw the thread again

Lowered tires to 26 psi (hence the low tire light) took out passenger seat(hence the SRS light blinking) low on gas (hence gas light) fuse taken out in order to do burnout hence SES light, i had a christmas tree for a drivers panel! Add in the TCS off light and ive got pretty much every light i can!

STRIPPED TRUNK AND DRIVERS SEAT ONLY!

Also on a completely blown clutch, this was the road home:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/XMT04pBt7cs&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/XMT04pBt7cs&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

obviously was the clutch and was replaced with JWT, which i am still kinda iffy about the whole purchase, lost a TON of low end torque but it revs like a bat out of hell!

No idea how you lost a ton of low end torque from a clutch... My car made the same torque between stock and JWT before I built my motor and went with a twin plate clutch.

My sincerest apologies to all who were offended. My sarcasm did not come across as intended, so I am so sorry to those who were offended-- to those who took the time to remind me of the forum's unspoken yet important rules and to those who may have been affronted but opted to move on. Again.... my apologies and I'll be more careful so as not to offend others.

^^^ Tastefully stated and appreciated… the maturity shows – many less mature and inexperienced G owners would have argued for days.

Have a nice day

+1

I was expecting this to turn into one of the typical fights. Thank you for helping to clear this up. I also apologize for snapping back so quickly. 99% of the time people's comments are meant to be rude or disrespectful so I was not expecting it to actually be a joke.

I had the other posts deleted by a mod for this section since they were off topic for the section and the issue is resolved.
