No word yet. I'm loving the cooler weather, and so is my car

A moderately modded NA G with bolt-ons running an uncommonly low ET being hard to fathom is neither ignorant nor bordering stupidity.

With many things in life, choosing to “ignore” is a cop out… but in this case, I think exercising the “ignore option” is a good choice.

If a guy is considered “ignorant” or “bordering stupidity” for questioning a cars performance – then clearly this is not the thread for me – and excuse the posts I made (as valid as I feel they are).
Skepticism my @SS! You have read what Trey has posted here. You know someone who knows us well. You are not implying skepticism - you are saying it isn't possible. Those are two different things. Maybe you just had a case of wording things wrong or whatever.

Mike, I don't care if you think your skepticism is valid or not. I have kept my mouth shut on this one but not doing it anymore. You DO NOT know what you are talking about and you have NO reason to assume that anyone is holding ANYTHING back here. What possible reason is there to lie about something like that? I don't give a rat's *** if you believe it or not but until you buy a plane ticket and come see it for yourself, in regards to OUR car, shut the **** up.

^^^ +1.

Skepticism and calling someone a lier are two different things. I know the difference.

You Mr. OCG, I guess, do not. Marinate on that for a while, ********.

Trust me, Trey is a magician behind the wheel at the track when it comes to DR's. Seen it firsthand MANY times.
His car has the potential to run a 12.9 if he were to get some slicks. The car is more than capable of pulling 60 foots in the 1.7 range. If 2800lb, 220whp FWD Maxima's can pull 1.75 foots on 26" slicks, a 265whp RWD G35 should be able to do the same. There are NA Zs pulling high 1.6s on slicks. A mid 1.7 60 foot would shed another .3 second from his high 13.2. The question is can the halfshafts handle a 6000rpm quick clutch slip launch

I'm not OK with going with slicks just yet. Too much chance of breaking something major. Grip is a double edged sword unfortunately.

Maybe when we have more disposable income.

Are you answering my post in the other thread here? I understand especially with a newer car.

No, I was replying to DaveB about putting slicks on Trey's car. Sorry, it is a little confusing sometimes. LOL

Possible, but it would have to be "the perfect run."
How many passes do those axles have, Trey? LOL

I have a feeling his further suspension mods have something to do with it. Keep in mind, that car still weighs in the 3400's. I'm not sure if the extra 40 whp can quickly cover the extra 600+ lb's and a stock Z suspension.

Maybe we can talk him into a few passes and see what happens. Trey, I'll tow you back when the rear diff pukes.

Or how few times it can handle this. The risk/reward ratio is not worth it.

If you get the new job and you sign saying you will pay to fix it then I will give it the nod.
