how can i lower my 60'

Went to the track tonight. I felt i could hit 14.6 but didn't.

3 of my better runs. I'm trapping 96mph.

- i'm AWD sedan.
-removed most extra weight i could w/o going extreme.
18x8.5 235/45 and 265/40 brand new tires. I came in at 30PSI, ran at 25, 40 and 20 PSI.
- no tire spin at launch, some at the 1~> 2 shift
- main bolt-on are HFC and 5/16 motordyne. but have z tube, rev up air box, coilovers set on FIRM
- VDC off, manual mode.

My worst 60' was 2.3 and slowest run was a 15.06, everything was hanging around 14.8-14.9, i know shifted a little early and late on some of them.

I feel its bogging down at the launch. But i dont know much about drag racing.

I am not a pro but a have the same car 05 g35x
When comparing my timeslip with yours i dont understang why you finished at 14.8 maybe its your tire size or the density of air that day (you can go on dragtimes.com with tools look at your DA)

At my first time at the strip a got a 14.6 with a 2.22 60ft with a 100% stock car in auto mode. So your 2.19ft is not too bad. I though with your 60 ft you must got better time then that.

Now i have a few mods, berk hfc, motordyne 5/16 spacer, ztube, osiris etune, i alway drag in manual mode, vdc off, front tire 40psi, rear 30 psi, brake torque at approx 1500, approx 1/4 tank of gas, i dont removed nothing in the car for weight reduction ( i must do it but i have no place to leave the stock) and my 1/4 mile is now at 14.0 to 14.2 with a 2.10 to 2.15 60ft.

I hope it can help you

my DA that was in the 400-600, i forgot what it was but it was dam near perfect weather. It was really nippy.

Ive been here three times. first time, ZTUBE and stock wheels. 2nd time added, coupe mid pipe, 5/16, 350z track wheels and now HFC and BRAND new tires.

All 3 times ive cut right around the same time. My 2nd time i was hanging around the 14.95-15.1 mark. Now i'm hanging in the 14.8

Did you notice much difference between auto and manual mode. I ran down once with auto mode and since it shifted early, i got a 15

before osiris etune a get better time in auto mode then in manual, maybe i was not shifting at the best rpm in manual mode (the shifting seem faster in auto mode). Now im always faster in manual mode.

with my osiris etune i asked to put rev limiter at 7200, i can now shift at 6200 and with the lag time of shifting im not hitting limiter (i have no grounding kit, maybe my next upgrade)
+ the throttle is not reduce sooner because near limiter.(I read that somewhere on the forum)
+ osiris allow 100% open wide throttle at the start.

uprev osiris is a must if you can buy it.

I got the standard version and im happy with it.

osirsis is on my list, i'm done with the mods i want for the car. Now its just small potatoes, i'm not big into racing, but my friends are. I show up with them to see the 10 second passes. Most my guys were in the 11-13 second runs( slicks and a cam on a V8 pretty much runs a 13.5).

If i can cut a 14.0 that would be insane for me, but at this stage thats a dream. I know NA modding is pretty much a waste of money. I did the mods because i'm bored, have the time and the money to play. Good idea about raising the rev limit, i know i hit it at the end of the track in 3rd.

What does this do? I noticed my 05 sedan will not do a burnout as the ECU completely retards the timing. I had an 04 Sedan which would do a burnout no problem. The 05 Sedan ECU is extremely conservative...

Is yours auto or manual? NM, I saw your mods list and you are tuned so it doesn't matter.

seems to be a g35x which is all wheel drive from the sig..pulling the brake light fuse for him isnt gonna do ****..he doesnt need a burnout with awd and such little power..just gotta lauch harder and row thru those gears faster..practice...better tires for a harder lauch would help but i dont think u should have any trac. problems but more of a bog problem
