Very enjoyable if you get the Bell Works paddle shifter kit.

Having just switched from a 05 auto to 05 6spd i have a few things to say. First, Yeah the 6 is faster than the auto, but not by a huge amount. It is cool to have the manual trans and flicking through gears but I had just as much fun in the auto. I don't know how many people have driven both or raced them against each other but I know the 3rd to 2nd drop in the auto is about the same hit you get when you drop the manual. All that said and over with. If I could drive any car I wanted, It would be a 6spd auto with the autostick and rwd. There's just to much traffic in regular driving around here to take advantage of the 6spd on all but to faster highways in my area. My only issues are with the manual. 1 the arm rest is to short for long drives (trivial) and 2 changing the clutch in my used 05 that i bought from a dealer with 24000 miles cost almost 2 grand. Thats way to early and way to much for a clutch to go.
be happy with what you have. They both have their own advantages.

I changed my friends clutch and flywheel for him with the JWT combo and did it for cheap. You just need better friends
5AT is a lot of fun. It needs to have better gearing (the 3.5 FD pumkin helps a lot) and the shift lag is a problem since its designed that way for comfort. Aside from that I can't see any reason not to go with a 5AT. Very durable.

Thanks.
For the majority of the time, I find myself using Manual mode just to drop down a few gears without adding any throttle. (As if I was about to race someone from a roll.) Then, once I'm wide open, I usually pop it immediately right back into Drive and let it upshift at redline by itself.
