Need some help, clutch is slipping.
just under 60k miles on my car, and the first owner never replaced it, so now the time has come to buy a new one. I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to things like this. So my question is, what do I need to buy??
Would this be sufficient? Which company would you recommend?
http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=4789
and why is something like this, so much more expensive?
http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=5585
I'm hoping my problem can be fixed for under $1000.

I've searched, and I see alot of people are going with the JWT clutch, and seems to have nothing but positive reviews. So that might be the route I go.
But as for the ACT clutch, there are a few different ones for the G35.
TQ / CLI Clutch Price
NZ1-HDG6 INFINITI G35 582 / 31% HD / G6 $491.05
NZ1-HDR6 INFINITI G35 582 / 31% HD / R6 $462.05
NZ1-HDSS INFINITI G35 455 / 35% HD / SS $531.01
I'm guessing I'd choose the last one, since its for street use?

Depends on what your overall intentions are for the car for how strong a clutch you want. But the G6 and R6 would be much more unforgiving to drive in a street car. Everyone has an opinion and mine is if your not looking to push above 400hp or 400tq on the car, stick with a clutch that you can live wish everyday like an OEM type replacement. And the last one on this list, the "SS" would be along those lines. I haven't had to change mine out yet either (50K) but likewise I've read good reviews about the JWT and ACT. IMO people start to become dissatisfied with the clutch setup when changing the flywheel to a lighter version.
Just for ref, I have a 6 puck ceramic clutch with lightweight flywheel in a MKIII Supra and it is not something that a person would want to daily drive.
So eventhough my G has a vortech and is pushing more power, I'm probably going to stick with the same type of clutch you are looking at here with the stock flywheel because I want something that I won't have to fight with everyday when driving to work/play.

I'm not sure about the ACT's, but I have the JW clutch mated with a nismo flywheel. The JWT clutch pedal feels a touch softer than OEM. That flywheel chatters like a MF, but I don't mind...its not like my car is quiet anyway. The nismo flywheel is heavier than the JWT one, so it seems easier for daily driving.

Mine is also slipping. I want to buy this clutch here to use with the stock flywheel and a SS clutch line with the Nismo bearing and a SGP pivot ball.

Is that a good one to buy for daily driving?
Or is a JWT one better with all the stuff I mentioned above?

You'll just need a new clutch and the flywheel will need to be resurfaced when you put the clutch in (not expensive), you don't need to replace the clutch line unless your is showing bad signs of wear. I don't have any experience with Nissan aftermarket clutches. Like all of you, I read other people's reviews and decide which is one that fits what I would like.

As far as I know, you can't resurfaced the OEM flywheel because it's a dual mass flywheel. (A dual mass flywheel has a series of springs mounted sideways between the primary and secondary flywheels. This provides extra vibration dampening and eliminates excessive transmission gear rattle for smoother clutch engagement and operation.) Resurfacing a dual mass flywheel with a grooved surface is usually out of the question because of the two-piece design of the flywheel. To resurface a dual mass flywheel, the unit would have to be taken apart so the secondary flywheel could be remachined. The unit would then have to be "rebuilt" with new springs and reassembled with the same tolerances as before to work properly. Most of these units are not designed to be disassembled or serviced by technicians, so replacement is recommended if the unit shows a lot of wear or is making noise. Also the dual mass flywheel very expensive to replace, I say go with a aftermarket Single Mass flywheel with replaceable friction surface.
This is the reason I have a aftermarket flywheel my self.

I have an Unorthodox Racing flywheel (used but with a new friction surface so it is just like new)
and
A brand new Centerforce dual friction clutch for sale.
$700 for both!
From a vendor these would be ~$1100-1200.

I had to upgrade to a dual plate clutch for my built motor.

The centerforce is rated for ~480whp/480wtq and feels just like stock!
Still my fav single plate clutch for the VQ.
