My other car is a stick shift, and I think that heel-toe action is really foolish on the street. And it is not possible to do it in an automatic......because you have no third pedal to work.

...now I have an image of someone doing left-foot-braking while shifting.... not a very pleasing sight...
however, I was told by some friends that some people use left-foot-braking in races when the situation doesn't require them to change gear.... hmmm.... guess different people have different techniques...
