go to the drag strip, then send me your VB and I'll install the kit for you and then go back to the track

My experience with an upgraded valve body/shift kit was that the shifts really weren't that much harder, more that they were a lot quicker. They were more noticeable, but not because of their harshness. You noticed it because it shifted faster than any car you'd ever driven. I'd do this in a heartbeat if I didn't have 2½ years left on my warranty. I'm do for a transmission fluid change right now. My next one will be near the warranty expiration, so maybe then (if they're still being made).

My car is my DD. under normal driving its very mild and hard to notice. Especially the 1-2 shift. I think they did it that way for normal driving. It is a very good balanace between normal driving vs hard driving.

I dont think you can do the TransGo kit with AWD version. I think it has a different VB.

very satisfied customer here! the car just lurches forward after instant shifts at wot. where the auto once lost ground in a race to a manual, now it pulls ahead, love it!

granted not the same track, but you can hear how much faster the shifts are. The before video is with the stillen VB.

You had a stillen VB in the before video? I think my car shifts faster with my 3.7 FD..

when you say final drive, are you talking aobut the gear ratio in the rear axle? if so, that does not affect your shift speed, just how fast you get to the point when you need to shift

I noticed that too.... I mentioned it quite a long time ago but no one else had (I dont think too many had 3.7 though)... I dont exactly know why it shifts faster (or seems to)... but I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed...

^^ I think that is just due to faster REVs. Your shifts are still slow

Fast shifts = the best mod ever!

^^^ seriously, shifts feel faster... I mentioned it couple years ago (or whenever I got the FD)... I'm certain its not equal to VB fast, but I questioned the phenomenon what I first noticed it...

give me a little credit there Athon, I'm able to discern between rev and shifts

I'm just saying...changing a FD can only change shift logic in the TCM to a certain degree. Its not going to increase your pressure. Thats why you need a shift kit. You'll never look back.
