Hell yeah! I should be getting mine this week too! Look for my DIY review sometime early next week ![Big Grin](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Next up...3.3 VLSD
TB, what are some of the difference between both kits if you don't mind me asking? Also how's the ride and drive between both year Gs? Do they both have neck snapping shifts like some people describe? Is one vb better than the other one?

Normal driving it is not obtrusive. Noticeable, but puts a smile on my face.
Hard driving, well, thats just fun.
edited first post. had to get pics off my camera...camera batt was dead

Ride is the same between both. The first time you put it in gear you notice...for SURE. No more laziness between R to D when shifting. You'll jerk the car. Just putting it in gear your whole car will jolt.

also, your 1st post update makes mention 06 coupe, tcu inside... but says 03-04.5 are different... 04.5 tcu is inside too (thats went they went inside)...
Unless you mean something else about it is different?

oh... ya, i guess 04.5 - now are all different with the TCU inside. Your VB would look like the pictures
Its only a jolt into gear when the fluid temp isn't warmed up completely yet. Its not a bad thing...just gotta make sure you are sliding backwards from R and throw it in D without coming to a complete stop to avoid that huge jolt

Its not bad. Its just a firm/quick change in motion. When fluid is very cold its more firm, but under normal conditions its not bad. Its not very noticeable during typical driving....its only when you are WOT that the shifts are very noticeable. Trust me when I say that this is a very good thing.
ALL 5AT should have this if you drive hard or ever track your car.

As for the difference between the two version of the VB
this is the 04.5-newer VB
this is the 03-04 (notice the blue connectors). newer version just has wire connector from top side to bottom side.

03-04 are slightly easier to get out of the vehicle because the connectors all unclip from below. 04.5+ you have to unclip some from the top.

This probably is the best mod i have done(with the exception of the twins)and the shift speed is incredible and def needed if boosted.Around town driving you can feel it but it is not annoying or harsh in anyway...but get on it and watch out.
Since i have the twins i can spin the 1-2 and the 2-3 shift and can also chirp 4th easily and even n/a you will still feel the explosive shifts. Its a friggen blast to drive in mm with this kit.

I've installed the Transgo and Edge Racing high stall torque converter on my car and I say after you've installed the Transgo kit fill it up with Redline D4 ATF. (My opinion.)
Unless you are still under warranty...which will be voided on the trans anyway with the Transgo kit...

Nothing wrong with it.
If you look around to those with FI and AT's most of them choose to go with Redline D4 as most believe it keeps things cooler and allows for colder weather smooth shifts.
I ran S-matic for 35,000 miles and had nothing wrong with it, don't get me wrong. I switched to Redline D4 when I put in my high stall torque converter and love the new feel.
Do what you are most comfortable with!
