DIY: Power steering and Alternator/ Air conditioning belt change
Can someone list the actual p/n for each belt?
Thanks to ttrank for the info

as for the tension looking fine, there is a spec that is required, or you should check with a tension gauge. if the belts aren't straight (they would just slip off), or if the belt is straight, but not engaged on the teeth.
the deflection should be around 4-5mm. if you could gauge 22 ft-lbf, that is what you need to apply to check tension. do you see why it's much easier with a tension gauge. you could get 'em for between $50-100.
thanks for the write up. Got mine changed, but having trouble finding the delicate balance between tight enough for alternator and ps pump to work, while not squeaking. Currently have a nasty noise coming from that belt, but if I loosen it, the battery light comes on. Any suggestions? ('04 A/T Sedan, BTW)
tension adjustment
the tension bolt is not difficult to adjust, hardest part is removing the stinking cover underneath the engine first with the 20 bolts holding it in....
I tried to make it as loose as I could while still allowing the alternator and p/s pump to function properly. still some squeakage when I start and and drive for a bit.
one thing I did think of is that while I was changing the belts, I changed the oil while I was down there anyway. I accidentally kicked my oil drain pan while I was walking away, and spattered some oil on the underside of the engine. some might have gotten on the belt. could this be a cause of the nasty noise?
