Pin-Cotter 40073-OL700 (2)
Washer Spring 08915-2401A (12)
total parts about $80

NOT under powertrain wrnty, BUT, they did describe the bolts as a "NEW UPGRADED" bolt, which to me would make it a recall? Whatever, doesnt creak anymore, also got a quote to do clutch chatter and driver seat loosy goosy, clutch $2400, seat $711
Just an FYI...I looked these parts up on infinitipartsusa.com (the cotter pin part number is actually 40073-0L700) and it totalled up to $28 without grease. The grease costs $100/container, but I'm sure you could find something equivalent at your local autoparts store for less.

Also, if anybody's dealer tries to tell them this is just an adjustment...that's obviously BS because the TSB specifically says these parts need to be replaced.

My car is currently only making a clicking noise when I switch from park to reverse so I'm not to worried about it yet. I'll check with my dealer to see if it's covered under powertrain or CPO Elite extended warranty, but I'm not counting on it. Looks like an easy enough fix though so I'll probably just do it myself this summer during my 60K maintenance.

I think some people in this thread used a moly fortified synthetic grease made by Valvoline. I haven't looked, but I think you can get it at Advanced Auto Parts.

Question about this clicking nosie:

What does it sound like? this is a tough one to explain I know...

I have some sort of buzzing or winding (sort of like tape wound toys) noise is louder I believe on the driver side. The noise is soft and very consistent.

Does this sound like "axle clicking noise" or is it another issue? I'm also suspecting wheel bearing.

Help!...

Thanks,
K

It is a defined "click" that you will have no problem identifying. When you put your car in reverse or drive and move it will happen. When it gets to the point it happens all the time it's really irritating. I have had it for about 1000 miles and need to fix it. Fortunately it's not a difficult DIY, I just need to find time to do it.
