turbonetics ST

ok everyone im getting the turbonetics single turbo for my 05 auto G.... can anyone who know or someone who has it for the auto, can you tell me everything extra besides the kit that i need/should get? everything... i need to know. i don't want my turbo to blow in 2 days after i get it. one quick question, how long do you think on stock internals will the engine last? not driving to hard but sometimes the occasional race from light to light? thanks so much.

i would head over my350z and read all about it there, they have tons of stuff on this kit. There are more ppl who have blown their engine w/ this kit than i had imagined, so its a pretty serious move. And ya gotta be careful with the cops here in cali

Check Alberto's setup this will give you all the extras you need to be safe. This is before he blew after 3K miles of driving.

The VQ35 just isn't made for reliable boost because the rods are weak. You'll also be walking on egg shells with the 5AT because it isn't designed to handle the increased torque load of a turbo.

For anyone adding forced induction, make sure you have alternate transportation because boosting NA cars isn't a simple bolt-on. ALL aftermarket forced induction systems are tempermental and if you're not a shadetree mechanic, expect your ride to spend many hours at a shop trouble shooting and tuning the car.

wouldn't the engineers developing these f/i systems take those rods into consideration? not saying what you're saying isn't true, just wondering why then these manufacturers are boasting that the "stock" engine can take up to 400hp......not sure if it's to the crank or wheels though........
