Sale is nationwide however, not all stores will honor the prices since it's not listed on the flyer. However, the odds are good that they will based on forum postings. There is even talk that they're gonna stop stocking them so if you are a big fan, I'd stock up while you can. And for 4.49 without the rebate hassles, it prolly won't get better than that.

Are there any issues with changing the oil yourself? Does the dealer not like it when you change it yourself?

Would it hurt the warranty at all?

Damnit! I went and bought some yesterday at regular price to change oil in my other car.

Then I just went and got 5 quarts on sale price. I just had to ask for it. No fair. I was aiming to get 10, but they only had 3 more. And bottles have dust on them. So I guess its not that popular. Haha.

right weight
Wouldn't Amsoil Series 2000 20W-50w be better than 0w-30w for our cars that reside in hot weather climates?

I'd get the Castrol but 0-30w seems right for cooler climates, am I wrong?

Never mind, just found the specs for our car are 5w-30w... off to autozone

Mercedes-Benz factory fills their cars with Mobil1 0W40 European Formula. The recommended oil change interval on all their cars is 12k miles. I have 16k miles on my C350 Sport and I've only changed the oil once... and never once checked the oil. I'm still probably going to switch to the GC on the G35. I've been running Castrol GTX in my 91 MR2 for years and never once had a problem with it. I know of several people that will only run GTX in their race cars. I used M1 in my old S4 for 3 years and was very happy, but I guess that was before they changed the formula. You can read so many opinions on oil that your head will spin, hehe.

Sorry for rambling on, but this info all just kinda popped into my head.

Quote: u know i tried a new oil which i am VERY happy with, and i use to use Royal Purple all the time... its Eneos by Nippon... they only sell it in 5w30 or 0w30, its pretty pricey at almost $10 a quart but i liked it much better then the royal purple... i've ran the eneos now for 6k miles and still feels great... almost like new
So you like this. I am thinking of going to this because its avalible to me know.

You can switch without worries. I know owners who've gone back and worth between dino and synthetic without problems along with UOA (Used Oil Analysis by Blackstone Labs) to back it up. Go get some GC at autozone on sale...at 4.49 I'd be cleaning out all AZ in your neighborhood. I'm gonna be running GC for the next 3 changes at 7K OCIs.
