JWT S7 Revup camshafts and Top Secret 100mm throttle body...

I have a 2005 G35 Sedan 6mt w/ Injen CAI, Headers, Test Pipes, Borla Cat-Back, Mrev2, 5/16" Thermal ISO. I want some more power and I am thinking about buying the JWT S7 camshafts but I have not seen or heard anything about a revup motor and cams.. I also found a 100mm Billet Aluminum Large throttle body sold for $1,275.00 which seems like a lot and was wondering if there were any other large throttle bodies out there, and what kind of gains you can get with one. And last but not least I saw the Top Secret Individual Throttle Body setup for $6,090.00 any thoughts on that??

True, I'm not really planning on buying the individual throttle bodies but I was just wondering exactly what they do.. I don't want to turbo my car, I was hoping to get close to 300rwhp NA and leave it at that. So I was wondering if camshafts, throttle body, and utec would take me there..?

u need more than that on the vq; ie port/polish, valvejob, rods, etc. Or at least a stroker kit.

Measure [with a precision manometer] the pressure drop across your existing TB at HP peak rpm probably around 6-7" W.C. or 7/27.7 or 0.25 psi............that's 1.7 % restriction, if a new larger TB cuts that in half you would/could gain 0.8% x 300HP or 2.4 HP.......maybe 3 on a lucky day.

Supercharging is a separate case because the TB restriction rises with 30% more air flow.

The entire restriction from atmosphere thru every intake component is less than 6%. Why few mods actually do much so little to start with so little restrictions stock.

I really think a reflash would be the best bang right now.

On this site? Probably only 1 or 2 guys. You'd have better luck on the my350z.com site. Keep in mind that cams will trade low to midrange power for topend breathing. Cams increase breathing efficency therefore you'll need to get a reflash to increase the rev limiter to ~7500rpms. I'd also recommend adding deeper gears because with the stock gearing, the gears will be too long plus you'll have less lowend power and you'll need the torque multiplication to make up for the difference. The cams will also require different springs and buckets, but those may be included in the cam costs. Overall, you're looking at about $1000+ for the cams, $300 for the springs/buckets if not included, $1,000 for install, 3.7 or 3.9 gears plus install $1,000, and a reflash $400-800. Overall, you're looking at $3,400 to $4,100 to do it right.
