Is this guy for real, or is he just putting us on?

This guy has just got be responding like this in jest. Nobody can be that dense.

Plus its REALLY FUNNY how the only bit of information this guy brings up on the subject was a quote copied from a user named BIKINILUST!

Now thats golden!

I think its time for HAM SALAD to consult the wisest person in the universe - Augie Ben Doggie!

^^^ I posted 8 different ppl saying dont cut it dumb @ss...

where do you get the idea it was only bikinilust?

the bottom line is there are two of you saying you can cut it (even though neither of you have - and neither can reference anyone that has)... yet there are many that say "do not"

this fact will never change.

Mike, toll has plain as day said he cut it. Unless you are blind.

*Jeff notes that the maxima guys, JWT and UTEC all have instructions on how to either cut or extend ecu wires which guess what, includes the maf sensor wire.*

John, does your aftermarket EMS read your MAF signal? Or does your stock ECU read it?

I cut up my ECU wires with the battery off. Let me double check but I believe the wires I cut WERE NOT related to the MAF but instead were power, ground, throttle body, and injectors.

But all things aside, there isn't any difference between the MAF wires and the ignition, injectors, power, ground and throttle body wires.

I just checked. I did also cut the MAF sensor wire at the ECU as the Emanage does not just tap but actually intercepts the MAF signal so it can adjust as necessary.

^^^ that's what I suspected... thanks for checking.

Jeff - it should go without saying... but the reference is to normal use - with ECU reading the signal.

People have had problems and others have learned for their problem experience and advise not to cut them. It really is that simple - and your & linche haven't done a thing to make anyone with reasonable sense confident enough to cut their MAF wires (to the stock ECU).

Having that been said - I'm also referring to cutting at the sensor end - not the ECU end (for whatever thats worth) - but I stated that already earlier in this thread.

This could have ended here https://g35driver.com/forums/4800886-post125.html
or here https://g35driver.com/forums/4802221-post130.html but then you'd have nothing to do with your life now would you...
