Rev-Up Redline Question...Yes, I searched!

Hello everyone, I have an 07 G35 Coupe 6mt and I have taken the RPM past 7k a few times to about 7200-7400 RPM, then shifted and never hit fuel cut! Does anyone know what RPM the stock fuel cut off is at? I have searched all over this forum and on the net and could not find a thing! Thanks

I have no idea what it is. I have the rev limiter raised via Osiris. I've hit 7000+ a couple of times while tracking the car.

Well for one, I don't think the oem tach is all the accurate. Iv'e hit my rev limiter a bunch of times.

I don't think it is either. I found that out when I was on the dyno. It appears my tach is ahead by about 200 or 300 RPMs.

So, there is a possibility that 7000 RPM is the limit, but the tach is reading 200-400 RPM, or even more, too fast!? That's a pretty large margin of error on Nissan's part! Thanks for the input!

a dyno would be the best bet to determine max rpm. however, the power starts to level and drop off after 6000+ rpms anyways why redline.

The accuracy of the RPM's decreases as you go through each gear.

i.e. you can hit the redline "sooner" in first gear than you will in 4th gear. I've found out that at 4th the RPM gauge is about ~200 too high by the time you hit redline.

Stock Redline is 7,000 with Rev-up, 6,500 on a normal VQ35DE.
