Car only turns on without giving it gas when its cold. After heating up it only turns on if you hit the gas pedal. I never had this problem, it began after i disconnected the battery to add a sub to my bose system. After i plugged in the positive this problem started. I did th ECU reset and it didnt help. Thanks in advance for the help!

Same problem I had when I disconnected the battery to install a new one. I cleaned the throttle body and that fixed it some how. Till this day, I haven't able to get a clear answer on how cleaning the throttle body fixed the problem where the car was running fine before i disconnected and installed new battery.

Check the MAF sensor, and check for a vacuum leak. Unplug the neg on your battery for 10 min just to be sure you did reset the ECU

Hmm, I vote to try to reset the ECU, if this suddenly happened after the battery was changed then it would make sense that it could be a computer issue.

Also, its important to note that the battery was changed because it failed for one reason or another. Perhaps there is another electrical problem which caused the symptom of your battery failing. What I'm saying is that there is a chance that the battery was not the cause of the problem, but rather a symptom of another electrical system issue.

I just unplugged my battery, cleaned the throttle body and replaced the air filter. Cars running like a charm now.

I was experiencing the RPM's dipping upon start up fofr a few months now. The car had died once on me but never agian.

Be VERY CAREFUL if you decide to clean your throttle body.

It says in the service manual that it isn't supposed to be cleaned. Also you MUST disconnect your battery before you do it. (I would suggest bleeding the power out of the system as well in order to make sure). If you don't take those steps you may have to take your G to the dealership for a costly reprogramming (~$300). As always, make sure to read up about it on g35driver before performing the cleaning.

Could be just a very dirty air filter too...

OP: Do you still have warranty? If so, why not bring it in and let it be their problem?
