This is upsetting.....with only 37,000 miles...
As I said in my first post here, I just traded in my GTP which I loved... and got a really nice 04 g35 sedan...only 37000 miles...
Well, last night as I was driving to my girlfriend's house to surprise her, I got a surprise of my own. The car kinda bucked as I came to a stop with the clutch in, and the VDC and slip and SES lights came on. I pulled over and shut down and restarted the car. Just the SES light remained on, and it seemed to run fine.
I just bought this car a few weeks ago. From a dealership that I used to work at. That is part of the problem. They know me. I bought it with a 50/50 powertrain warranty. I was kinda hoping out of good faith they would just fix it, since I JUST bought it...
Turns out it has a bad throttle body, at 37000 miles. My guess is the sensor went bad and from my understanding you cant just replace the sensor? I got this from searching a little last night.
So they want 160 (they are going halves with me)... to fix it.
Kinda crazy that I modded the **** out of my GTP for years and it was Forced induction... And I have this thing two weeks and the TB goes... I know its a rare case, but it really makes me wonder..is this a common thing with these cars?
Just kinda ranting...thanks guys.

Hrmm...ya not a common problem. If that happened 2 years down the road you'd probably not be as upset. Its mostly cuz its a "new" car to you and we always want new things to be perfect.
I'm pretty sure you won't have a lot of problems with the car. I've got over 150K on my odometer now and I rarely have any issues to deal with.
