problem with kinetix v4 plenum

Hi. i just installed the kinetix v4 plenum and test drove the car. car cranked up fine like stock and i took it for a wild spin to test it out. came back home and told my friend to test it out hours later... cranked the car, rpm fell down to 0 and the car stalled. cranked again, same deal... so i cranked it with some gas and the car fell to a very smooth idle. turned it off and cranked it again with a long start and the car fell to a very smooth idle. i then proceeded to drive the car for 30 minutes and turned off the car in attempt to see if the car will crank up normally... but it doesn't!

anyone have a clue what i am talking about? idles and rpms are very smooth and nominal though.. no bogging while riding! only during crank/ignition... seems like car is not getting enough combustion to start?

Is the car still doing this after some driving?
Also, did you happen to notice more power with the plenum?

I'm not yet sure what the cause might be. Cranking the car over while applying throttle is a technique for starting a flooded (with gas) engine.

thanks for the reply!

only happens during hot-cranks... during cold-cranks the car ignites with ease at a higher idle. yes i THINK i noticed a bit more power at top end.

i apply the gas only when the revs start to drop to induce a stall. need more air to keep the engine alive.

i guess i shall disassemble the plenum and parts tomorrow... get everything thoroughly checked... we'll see what the culprit was.

You might want to try the idle reset. I believe that the steps to do that are on the DIY section of this forum.

Sounds like you may have an air leak.
