I've been getting an intermitent CEL with P0011 & P0021,
Rough Idle - RPM's drop when clutch is pushed in and will stall at times-vehicle vibrates, engine also rattles.

borrowed a consult and ran some test and at 2k rpm both intake valve timing control solenoids have 0 duty cycle.
pulled drivers side solenoid put 12v to it and it operates fine.

Any thoughts on what is going on
I appreciate any thoughts on this mind boggling issue.

Did you ever fix this? Mine is doing the same thing. The engine is freshly built and I have pulled the timing cover to check timing again and it was dead on. I have put OEM crank sensor and 2 OEM cam sensors in. I have pulled off both solenoids and cleaned them. Checked them with a ohm meter and they were 7.7-7.8 ohms each. Hit both with 12v and they open correctly. Anything else I can try?

 

did you replace the intake or exhaust cam sensors? these solenoids work with the intake sensor, and if you dont have a rev up then you only have intake anyways.

since both sides are throwing codes i'd check to make sure your oil level is right and that you have enough oil pressure to drive the solenoids. after that check power at the harness plug (must rev motor to 2k+ for the plugs to have voltage)
