After you get everything started up again i would sell the car and get another one.

If she comes back to life, check out the R2C Maxxflow short ram intakes. Dry filter = easy clean outs and a nice sound. But you could just get that bypass that was linked above. I never even knew you could add them on, but it is a sweet feature to have on hand.

Other than that I wish you the best of luck on this. Getting taken out by standing water is a fear that led me to deny a CAI.

As long as he hasn't caused any damage there's no reason to sell the car. Even if he did, insurance would probably cover a replacement motor.

you hydro locked it no doubt. like everyone said you will need to take off the intake and get as much of the water out as possible and oil change, assuming you have not bent any valves or rods or smashed a piston. this is no good and the main reason i will never put a cold air intake on my g

Alright guys so got back a couple hours ago, installed the new spark plugs and vroom vroom VROOM she fired up like a champ.

Had white smoke
Come out the tail pipe but not much, took it out for a test drive it looks like it is just evaporating the water that still might be in. I'll report back
In a couple days
To see how she's doing

Congrats!! Glad this all worked out for you. The white smoke is steam. Let it idle for a bit and it will all be fine. My advice....change your oil again in 1k miles

Also, keep an eye on your oil and coolant. Head gasket issues are common after hydrolocking.

yeah do everything Piaxao said then hope a rod is not bent or anything wrong internally when the engine locked up. good luck tho

After your first run today, be sure to check the oil for foaming or any trace of water. If you see any at all, change your oil again quickly. Check it again after a run and if you see any more, it may be a busted head gasket.
