HELP! Car will not start.
2004 G35 coupe manual 110k miles
My car died on the fwy a few days ago. My gas gauge had been faulty always saying im empty when Im actually full. I assumed it broke down because i was really empty on fuel so AAA came and added 4 gallons of fuel and my car still wouldn't start.
I remember right before the car died my "service soon" light flickered on and my car died about half a minute afterwards. My mechanic said my fuel pump was pumping weaker than normal but shouldn't be why my car wouldn't start. He also said my spark plugs were looking old and replaced them with new ones. My car still wouldn't start so he swapped out the crankshaft sensor but still no start up. My car will crank but not start.
He said 3 out of 6 cylinders are not producing spark. He even switched the coils and spark plugs but those 3 cylinders still failed. He said some of the coils were strangely getting "super hot" every time he turned the key in the ignition without the car starting. He also said some of the coils looked abnormally enlarged. He tried everything to get the 3 cylinders to spark but failed every time. He replaced the camshaft sensor but no success. The ecu inspection also passed.
I've been reading around and people have problems with starting their g35 because of: magnetic key fob issues, sensors, timing belt, and transmission issues regarding flywheel. Can someone please give me some more ideas on whats wrong with my car?

HELP!!! Car will not start!
2004 G35 coupe 6mt. Car died on while driving on the freeway. Car is low on gas so I assumed I ran out of fuel. AAA came out and poured 4 gallon fuel and car still won't start. Cranks but doesnt start? Had it towed to mechanic. Mechanic said 2 cylinders won't produce spark even when swapping coils and sparkplugs. My car has been burning oil like crazy for 2 years but engine has compression. I've been driving on empty many many times because gas gauge is super faulty so I don't know when I'm really out of gas and mechanic said fuel pump is weak. Changed 3 sensors and car still won't start. Mechanic said it could be ECU because 2 cylinders aren't sparking. I don't want to drop more money if it isn't the ECU. Can it be the transmission since I haven't changed my trans fluid in 2 years? Could it be the IPDM? What can the problem be? Please help fellow G35 drivers!

btran Where did you get your ECU/ECM I have 2007 infiniti G35 sedan that wont start. I belive its the ECU due to the MAF harness sparked. I'm having trouble finding a shop willing to fix it. They all suggest to have the dealership take a look but don't have the money for them. Any help would be appreciated
