Cam position sensor code question

I recently took out my 2003 Coupe that has been in storage for 5 or so months. I got the Cam position sensor code. Cant remember the number (P0340?) but my reader read 5 codes all the same, 2 regular & 3 pending. Car stalled out on me a couple of times and wouldn't start. I erased the code. And its been a month now and nothing. No codes, Gas mileage is the same. Runs just as good as before. My question is am I doing any damage to anything?
