Next mod ideas?

2005 G35 Coupe 6MT

Currently:

1.Stillen CAI + Z-tube
2. MREV w/ spacer
3. KJR Pulley
4. HKS Hi Power
5. RE Short Shifter
6. Stillen Sways (soft F, Med R) I'm not liking the soft front setting btw
7. 20x10.5, 20x8.5 Iforged Evo's on T1R 275/30 245/35 incoming early March

Any ideas what I should do next? Been thinking about megan resonated test pipes but I am unsure as to how they will match up with HKS TD exhaust setup

Thanks for the input-

Eventually I will FI. What about the Megan resonated test pipes? what is the difference in the high flow cats?

test pipes or h/f cats, a UTEC and custom tune. test pipes flow better than h/f cats and if you're going FI down the road you want more flow.

i have the HKS true dual and the only thing stopping me from ordering test pipes is my concern about torque loss. I never get an answer on this question lol

you might lose some down low. If you get the UTEC and custom tune you can get it back. Not only that if you going FI down the road why waste the money on the h/f cats.

Seriously though , what does low end torque matter once you are out of first gear?

It would matter more for short distances. TQ is what gets you going and hp is what determines your mph. If you were into auto cross you would want the tq down low. 1/4 mile runs also, but the little loss of tq from test pipes won't effect you that much in the 1/4 especially if you get an EMS and retune the car.

Hmm I would think the little loss in torque would be made up for the larger gain from mid to high once out of first gear during a 1/4 mile run - and then some. I was thinking about getting the rest of my exhaust work done then reflashing from TS for now since I wont be going FI within the next 6 months. I was debating going with the 3.9 FD instead of FI but you have the handful of negative comments and positive comments on this forum, and that creates problems when making a decision.

I would like the 3.9 FD for the acceleration but if someone gets on my *** and I'm in 3rd gear I still want it to be faster than the stock ratio.

I am no expert so was I just guessing. I assume that by the end of the 1/4 mile you would have made it up.
