Its tough to say about clearance being better - i kept clearance as good as possible but its tough to say because everyone has diff roads/speed bumps. I don't scrape on my shroud i just scrap my motordyne exhaust everywhere i go!!

How low are you?

I'm pretty damn low for an "X". Already replaced my smaller undertray 3 times and the engine cover twice..

Yea. One of them was and the last one was the zspeed one which was worst then oem bc it rattled like crazy bc bolts was stripped from the oil filter door and a few near my cross member bar and it sucked! Made my g sound cheap from all of the rattle..

Yea man! I'd love to buy one of yours but I'm afraid same thing will happen to me again. From what I researched the Xs bottom end sits lowest from all the other models due to the cross member bar. That's why I can't be totally slammed which totally sucks!

after the oil door came off the whole thing just fell apart.... hit a bump and the bar where the oil door went snagged off. it just worst after bolts kept getting stripped off.. then finally took it off. it was embarrassing riding around with that rattle...

interesting - thats curious that you lost the oil door too? I could make one without an oil door for you, if you just wanted the protection. Just a thought.

the door wasn't the problem... well not at first.. i hit a bump and it stripped the bolt heads off and it hung for a longtime before i pulled it off.... could you make one that inverted up instead of down?? I've seen one that is inverted up instead of down.... it looked a bit funny but I'm sure it would be a lot more clearance!

it would be impossible to remove the door to change the oil...you're better off just having one with no door.

I remove my rear piece every time i change my oil anyways - since i have a lower tie brace right under the drain plug. It is still quick to remove since you don't have to do the bumper section, but then easy to work on anything.
